This increased-safety (Ex e) gland is built for hazardous areas where the protection concept is enhanced safety. High-grade materials and innovative construction give high tensile strength and sealing performance; it passes a 96-hour acid/alkali copper-accelerated salt-fog test with a chemical and corrosion resistance rating of grade 5. The precision housing is finished to look the part.

Used wherever an explosion hazard may be present — machinery, automatic control, power distribution, network communications, lighting, petrochemicals, mining and metallurgy, shipbuilding and electrical equipment. Cables are securely fastened and locked in place, with IP68 protection.
